Paul’s Manager at Lake Highlands High School, comments that everyone welcomed Paul with open arms. At first, we were not sure if he could learn the job so quickly. We thought he would need his job coach for quite awhile. Within three weeks though, he knew his job well. He now is able to help with other tasks such as breaking down boxes, putting pepperoni on pizzas, and wrapping cookies. Again, he didn’t need the help of his job coach for very long. Every once in a while he would ask someone where something went. Everyone in the kitchen was there to help him if and when he needed it. We are all like a little family, and Paul is part of that family. Paul was soon talking and laughing with everyone. He even knew what the ladies were saying in Spanish!! That was a shock to us all. Paul rarely talks and for him to talk to us was the best gift of all. We were so excited and proud of him. We are all so proud of the hard work and effort he puts into the cafeteria each and every day. He brightens up everyone's day. It wouldn't be the same without him.
